Workforce Alliance will be on hand one hour prior to the job fairs and throughout the day to assist with resume review and online job searching. Chris Stanyer of Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas will also be conducting “Resume Writing and Interviewing” workshops both days. The workshops are scheduled for Thursday at 10:00 and 1:00 and Friday at 9:00 and 1:00. So feel free to come early and take advantage of these free services prior to visiting with potential employers.

Municipal Court Clerk

Will work as substitute in the absence of the Municipal Court Manager. Pay Range: $12.53/hour - $16.96/hour.
Experience working in a court setting, knowledge of legal proceedings/ language and knowledge of criminal, traffic and infraction procedures a plus. PRN Respite Staff Workers (several openings)
Great additional income opportunity! A respite staff worker is needed to work weekend shifts (typically 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am, but sometimes there are 6 hour shifts scheduled). Job Purpose: Creates quality products by setting up and operating milling and/or lathe machinery. Works under general supervision.

- Obtains information for upcoming jobs by communicating with programmers, tool makers, and opposite shift regarding specifications, potential issues, tie-in details, and work order numbers.
- Prepares to run job by locating, prepping, and setting up machine, tools, tooling, cutters, parts, fixtures, and materials.
- Manufactures repeat parts by reading tie-in sheet; starting up machine; resetting and changing tooling; loading and editing program or waiting for new program; running program; ensuring machine is running correctly; obtaining part layout from tool maker; removing part; deburring and cleaning part; labeling part; and removing tooling.
- Manufactures new parts by obtaining materials, prints, and programs; setting up parts and tools; writing, editing, and loading program; running part per print, model, program, or tool maker instructions; ensuring machine is running correctly; obtains part layout; removing part; deburring and cleaning part; labeling part; and removing tooling.
- Performs machinery maintenance on CNC department machinery and cutting equipment by repairing machines, verifying pivot lengths, flycutting tables, and sharpening and/or replacing cutters.
- Ensures job accuracy by reading blueprints, verifying dimensions, checking parts per print dimension, editing programs, editing feeds and speeds, proving programs, and creating programs in Prospector.
- Maintains electronic information by backing up programs and CNC files. Generates data via shop floor programming for CNC equipment lacking data. Maintains historical data by filing programs.
- Improves production quality, efficiency, and timeliness by modifying programs and revising production notes and programs.
- Operates multiple machines including Bridgeports and grinders. Utilizes non-CNC equipment in support of CNC operations.
- Conducts machine maintenance by identifying needed repairs, filling and/or replacing fluids, checking lubrication lines, cleaning and/or replacing filters, and checking hoses. Cleans machines, tool changer, bay oil screen, coolant tank, and tool pot doors. Completes machine maintenance sheet.
- Maintains quality standards by reworking jobs to meet specifications.
- Records machine time by logging hours the machine has been powered on, run times and spindle revolutions.
- Maintains personal precision tools by inspecting, calibrating, repairing and ordering tooling.
- Becomes familiar with the quality system requirements as they pertain to the department.

Tool Maker
Job Purpose: Creates quality products by setting up and operating tooling machinery. Works under general supervision.
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities including training and development; planning, assigning, and directing work; and inspecting work.
- Develops tools by studying blueprints, sketches, specifications, and descriptions and applying knowledge of materials, machining, and assembly methods. Creates DXF files for the Water Jet and Hurco machines.
- Schedules jobs by coordinating with departments to determine job specific needs such as polishing, welding, EDM, Deulieg, and gun drill. Prepares jobs by comparing prints to models and gathering and/or ordering materials and hardware.
- Communicates with programmer to determine set-up and machine details and ensures programmer has necessary prints and paperwork.
- Programs, sets-up, and operates equipment and machinery including CNC and manual machines. Builds and repairs various tooling projects including molds, dies, and aircraft.
- Confirms parts by comparing measurements to specifications.
- Communicates with upper management regarding rework specifications and timeframe deadlines.
- Communicates with operators regarding ideas for safe and efficient set-ups, tool needs, and job progress. Provides set-up assistance to operators.
- Communicates with shipping and receiving to verify incoming materials and notify them of future outgoing jobs.
- Ensures quality standards by reviewing job finish requirements with polishers.
- Performs preventative machine maintenance on department equipment and tools including Hurco machine.
- Reviews aircraft status sheet for project specifics and due dates.
- Maintains quality standards by overseeing and inspecting jobs to ensure correct per specifications and finished in timely manner. Coordinates all outside services necessary to complete jobs including grinding, EDM, painting, stress-relieving, and heat treat.
- Ensures quality of product by visually inspecting all parts prior to sending to inspection.
- Communicates with inspection to organize project needs and ensure all original paperwork including certifications and purchase orders are sent to inspection with parts. Assembles tools for delivery. Confirms receipt of all pertinent paperwork.
- Ensures shipping utilizes proper packaging and provides required paperwork.
- Evaluates problems and determines most cost-effective and efficient method of correcting issues and eliminating downtime. Ensures implementation of solution.
- Maintains communication with management regarding developments affecting cost or delivery of jobs. Reports status of projects weekly.
- Maintains personal and company tools by cleaning, polishing and disassembling. Certifies personal hand tools in annual inspection.
- Assists management in the quoting process of potential new projects.
- Electronically organizes and archives finished projects in computer.

Make batches of food product from a variety of dry and liquid goods, with the ability to operate pumps, mixers, clean equipment, lift 50 plus pounds, keep records and follow directions, operate a touch screen monitor
Warehouse
Load pallets of product onto trucks, unload materials from truck, and transfer pallets from production lines to warehouse racking, transfer raw ingredients to production batch room, operate stretch wrap machines. Must be forklift certified
Quality Control
Raw and finished product testing, recording temperatures, shelf life testing, testing of milk trucks, sort and retain samples, product sampling, pouch and bottle examinations, clean as needed
Bottle line
Must be mechanically inclined. Experience with robots or mechatronics a plus, touch screen monitors, conveyors, heat tunnels, etc.
Maintenance
Repair and maintain all machines, experience with PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, robots, automation. Able to interpret blue prints and schematics. Previous experience with Allen Bradley preferred.
