Attention: Cowley County Business and Industry Leaders

June is "Business Appreciation Month" across the State of Kansas, a time to honor businesses and industries of all sizes, which create jobs for our local communities.

As part of Business Appreciation Month, the Arkansas City Chamber of Commerce, Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Strother Field Airport/Industrial Park, Cowley College-Business, Industry and Entrepreneurship, and Cowley First-Cowley County Economic Development Partnership, would like to show our gratitude to area employers for the contributions made to our economy and quality of life.

To show our appreciation, you are invited to attend our Business Appreciation Luncheon on Tuesday, June 5th, at the Cowley College Wright Room at 11:30 am. In addition, the local businesses who were nominated for the Kansas Business Appreciation Award will be recognized as well. Several Cowley County businesses have been nominated by these organizations for the Governors Award of Excellence which will be announced in June as well.

To wrap up the month of June, you are also invited to participate in the Annual Business and Industry Golf Tournament to be held in conjunction with the Strother Field Days Celebration. The event will be held on Friday, June 29th at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Winfield. Registration will begin at 8:00 am with tee-times beginning at 8:30 am. We invite you to register up to four players from your business to participate in the four-person scramble.
