Cowley County, Kansas is a progressive area poised for growth while preserving a sense of history and natural beauty. Cowley County, with a population of over 36,000, is located in south central Kansas on the Kansas-Oklahoma border, less than one hour from Wichita and two hours from Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The area offers rural living adjacent to urban amenities. Two vibrant and thriving retail trade areas located 10 minutes apart in Arkansas City and Winfield, are easier to get to and closer together than most metropolitan shopping malls.

Cowley County is a rural community within an easy drive of urban amenities located just southeast of the Wichita metropolitan area. With a population of approximately 37,000, Cowley County is large enough to meet your service needs, but small enough to value your individuality. The ease of accessibility is further aided by recent construction and reconstruction including the Arkansas City by-pass to North US 77 and the Winfield by-pass to US 160.
